• Respect the signs and the equipment provided on the trail.
• During hunting season, watch out for areas where hunters may be posted. Inquire about hunting areas before setting out.

All the hikes and biking trails starting from ValJoly can be found in "Bike trails and walks" (listed opposite), a booket that is on sale at the Base for 1 unit. All those trails are also searchable here.
Hiking through the Southern part of the Avesnois region
If you want to discover the South-Avesnois region on foot, be sure to get a copy of the information leaflets "Saveurs et savoirs-faire en Sud-Avesnois".
Comprehensive and practical, you can either buy them at the "Maison du ValJoly" information centre (2 €) or download them for free from the website of the "Comité départemental du tourisme du Nord": www.cdt-nord.fr
The Green Trail from Glageon to Ferrière-la-Grande
Located on an old railroad track linking Glageon to Ferrière-la-Grete, a 30 Km "Green Trail" has been arranged for the enjoyment of hikers, horse riders and cyclists. Explore woodlands and groves as you cross numerous villages and small towns: Liessies, Solre-le-Château, Sars-Poteries… All along the trail, picnic areas and horse resting areas welcome you when you want to take a break.
