General InformationSafety instructions for poney rides:
• Parents: wear good hiking shoes or boots and never let go of the poney’s bridle. Never make the poney gallop.
• Kids: wear pants and closed shoes
• The wearing of a helmet is mandatory. It will be provided to you at no charge.
The ValJoly Stables offer you a wide array of activities centred around horses and riding. They are open to individuals, training courses or as Group Tours.
Horse-riding
For beginners and advanced riders, we offer three horse-riding circuits, from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Experienced riders (who master gallop-riding), have a choice of circuits lasting from 1 hour to 3:30 hours.
Rentals
Poneys rentals
Younger visitors can enjoy poney rides. Parents accompany their child on a 1 Km long marked trail.
Box stall rentals
Horse owners staying at the Station can rent box stalls or paddocks for their animals.
Group lessons
Poney or horse-riding courses, depending on the size of the rider, are organized for beginners as well as advanced riders.
Training sessions
Beginners classes include dressing and preparation of the horse/poney, playful learning of the basics of horse-riding (advancing, stopping, turning, trotting). Advanced classes include dressage and obstacle-jumping classes, in the ring as well during horse rides in the countryside. Holders of the FFE licence (Fédération française d’équitation) can prepare and pass their gallop-riding exam.

Age : from 6 years up
Prerequisites : open to beginners and advanced riders (groups are split up by experience and age)
Group Tours
We offer a wide range of horse-riding tours for groups. Contact us for details.
For children under 10 years :
7 saddled poneys are at your disposal for an hour or longer. Beginners receive an introduction to poney-riding on a marked, 1 Km long circuit.
For adults and children over 10 years :
Introduction to horse riding in the ring and within the Station grounds. Dressing and preparation of the horse/poney, playful learning of the basics of horse-riding (advancing, stopping, turning, trotting). Advanced users learn to improve their riding skills in the ring, followed by a ride through the countryside.
